Strategies for an Enjoyable Gaming Experience

The Joy of Gaming – With Responsible Strategies

To ensure gambling remains an enjoyable pastime, a few clever tips are invaluable:

  • Your bet, your plan: Set clear limits for your stakes and stay calm – the key is respecting your own boundaries.

  • Keep your gaming funds separate: Only use the money you are willing to spend on gaming.

  • Deposit wisely: Only deposit what you are willing to lose – nothing more.

  • Breaks make you smarter: Take regular breaks. Your chances don’t change, but you’ll recharge your energy.

  • Big dreams, small wins: Be proud of every win, no matter how small – take it home and celebrate.

  • Forget the “lucky streak”: What seems like a winning streak is pure chance – enjoy the moment, but don’t expect more.

  • Losses aren't motivation: Don't chase lost money. There is no magic formula to turn losses into wins.

  • Chance is chance: No amount of betting can influence chance – so play for fun, not out of obligation.

If you find these tips difficult to follow, take a break. If you need support, our player protection team is always here to help.

Early Detection

Early Help for Safe Gaming

With our extensive experience from land-based casinos and targeted analyses, we can identify players who may be at risk early on. This allows us to act quickly and implement measures to protect you. If certain signs appear, such as financial difficulties or disproportionate stakes, legally mandated protection mechanisms are activated.

A gaming ban may be enforced if:

  • Your stakes are disproportionate to your income or assets.
  • Your financial situation has reached a point where it is no longer sustainable for you.
  • A professional organisation informs us of an existing gambling addiction.

Your Protection Against Conspicuous Gaming Behaviour

If our early detection criteria and analysis indicate that your gaming behaviour may be risky, we will contact you to assess your situation. During this process, we will inform you about the risks of gambling while also gaining a better understanding of your personal and professional circumstances through your self-disclosure. Based on this exchange, we can determine whether your stakes align with your income and assets.

If the initial contact does not provide clarity, we may request additional documentation, such as proof of income and assets, a debt enforcement register excerpt, bank statements or tax records. Our goal is to ensure that your income and assets are in line with your gaming expenditures and that you are meeting your financial obligations – helping to protect you from potential gambling-related risks. If concerns remain, we will take appropriate action in line with our commitment to player protection.

We understand that requesting these documents is an invasion of your privacy. Rest assured: your data is safe with us, as we adhere to the highest data protection standards (ISO-27001 certification). For more information on how we process your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Your Control Over Gaming – Setting Limits in the Online Casino

Game Break
You can take a break from gaming and exclude yourself from specific game categories or the entire platform for a set period. This break can last anywhere from one day to six months, depending on what suits you best. During this time, you can still log in, but gameplay will be restricted.

Deposit limits
Set up your account so that only a specific amount can be deposited daily, weekly or monthly. Once this limit is reached, further deposits are not possible. Adjustments to increase limits take effect after 24 hours, while reductions are applied immediately.

Loss limits
Before starting a game, you must set a maximum loss amount for a day, week or month. If this limit is reached, further bets are not allowed. You can combine multiple limits, but at least one loss limit is mandatory. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately, while increases are implemented after 24 hours, ensuring your safety in line with legal regulations (Art. 87 para. 4 of the Gambling Ordinance (VGS)).

Self-Exclusion
If gambling becomes problematic, a voluntary self-exclusion can be an effective solution. This exclusion applies to all casinos in Switzerland and Liechtenstein – both online and offline – and can be requested directly through our online casino or the relevant authorities.

Gambling Addiction

Gambling can be captivating, but for some, the excitement turns into dangerous dependency. Gambling addiction often develops gradually and can be hard to recognise. Big wins can create the illusion that success is due to skill – but this is a misleading belief.

It usually begins harmlessly: a big win, followed by the belief that success is within reach. However, inevitable losses start to pile up, and the urge to gamble can become overwhelming. Increasing amounts of time and money are spent on gambling, while family, work and friendships gradually fade into the background.

In the so-called Adventure Phase, one still believes they have control. However, the Loss Phase soon follows, marked by concealed debts and strained relationships. By the time the Desperation Phase begins, gambling dominates every aspect of life.

To help prevent players from falling into this vicious cycle, we have implemented measures to identify potentially at-risk individuals early. Using our proven criteria and years of experience, we can intervene in a timely manner.

Signs of Gambling Addiction:

  • You lose interest in activities you used to enjoy.
  • You promise yourself not to gamble but end up doing it anyway.
  • You ask others for money to continue playing.
  • Work, friends or hobbies suddenly take a back seat.
  • You feel irritated or restless when you can’t play.
  • You neglect your appearance or health because the game is your priority.
  • Time and money slip away faster than you intended.
  • You use winnings to pay off debts or solve financial problems.
  • Gambling leads to arguments with family or friends.

If you or someone you know recognizes any of these signs, don’t hesitate to contact us. Together, we’ll find a solution.

Types of Gaming Bans

Principle
A gambling exclusion applies to all land-based casinos and all online gambling providers (online casinos, lotteries, sports betting and poker) in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.A self-exclusion cannot be limited to either land-based or online gambling. It always applies for both.

Self-Determined – Apply for a Voluntary Game Exclusion
If you notice your gambling behaviour is becoming problematic, a voluntary self-exclusion may be a good solution. You can initiate this process at any time. Simply download the application form and submit it along with a copy of your ID (passport, ID card, or driver’s license) to (rg@admiral.ch or by mail to: «In der Luberzen 25, 8902 Urdorf»). Your request is only valid with your signature. For foreign casinos, you will need to apply separately. If you prefer to request a self-exclusion in person, visit a land-based casino with valid identification and speak with the responsible staff.

Mandatory Exclusion – What Happens Next?
If you are identified as a problematic gambler – through our monitoring, early detection system, or reports from third parties, specialists or social services – the casino may enforce a mandatory gambling exclusion. This is necessary if:

  • You are over-indebted.
  • You are unable to meet your financial obligations.
  • Your gambling stakes are disproportionate to your income and assets.
  • There are signs of gambling addiction.

In such cases, casinos are obligated under Article 80 of the BGS to impose a game exclusion, even without your consent.

Back to Fun: How to Lift Your Gaming Ban

Are you banned from playing in a Swiss casino? Then you have the option of having it lifted. To do this, you must submit a written request and financial documents. A specialist office for gambling addiction will also be involved (Art. 81 para. 3 BGS). These are the necessary steps to have your ban (voluntary or ordered) lifted.

If you can provide proof that the reasons for your exclusion no longer exist, your ban can be lifted in accordance with Article 81 of the Swiss Gambling Act. However, there is a minimum period for voluntary bans: you cannot submit an application before three months have passed (according to Article 84 of the Gambling Ordinance). If the casino where you were excluded has since closed, you can contact another Swiss casino and they will guide you on the next steps.
