1. Data controller
The data controller is CAM. The user can contact us to request further information on the processing of personal data or to exercise his rights:
  • CASINÒ ADMIRAL SA, Via A. Maspoli 18, 6850 Mendrisio
  • info@casinomendrisio.ch
2. What is personal data, and what is processed?
Personal data is information that relates directly or indirectly to a natural person and can provide information about his or her characteristics, habits, personal relationships, etc. Personal data includes, among others, name, surname, address or other contact details, an identification number, an online identifier, data on the use of the games provided, gaming behaviour, suspensions, their personal, professional and financial situation and financial transactions.
Processing is defined as any procedure or operation performed in connection with personal data, whether or not it is automated. Processing includes, in particular, storage, disclosure, acquisition, deletion or retention of data.

3. Which personal data is processed?
The following personal data is processed:

3.1 Data collected by Casino
CAM collects personal information that the player enters into the player account.
When opening a player account, the player must provide personal information (first name, surname, date of birth, gender and nationality) as well as his home address (street, postcode, city, country) and submit a copy of an official identity document.
CAM collects other personal data, including information for the operation of the gaming platform, the processing of payment transactions, the further development of our games offered, advertising and marketing. CAM can also request other documents from the player, such as pay slips, proof of assets or tax documents.

3.2 Website logs
The computer systems and software used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be assigned to identified interested parties but, by its nature, could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the website, the addresses in URI (uniform resource identifier) notation of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the operating system and the user's IT environment. This data is used exclusively to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website, to check its correct functioning, to detect anomalies and/or abuses and is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the owner or third parties.

3.3 Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this website requires the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, which is necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the request. Even telephone contact with the numbers indicated on the website may result in CAM subsequently acquiring personal data.

3.4 Chat
If you contact us via the chat function or leave us a message or request a callback, we will process the data you provide there (in particular, email address, name, message) and IP address to process your request. This is done on the basis of a legitimate interest (answering inquiries; Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR or Art. 31 (1) of the DSG) and consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR or Art. 31 (1) of the DSG).
You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the time of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

3.5 Contact forms
Our website may contain contact forms that can be used to contact us. The data entered in the contact forms is transmitted using encryption (SSL encryption). The data entered in the contact forms (including first name, surname, nationality, telephone number, email address, and address) is stored for processing your request or contacting the person making the contact. The use of our contact forms is on an expressly voluntary basis and with your consent.

3.6 Cookies
Admiral.ch uses so-called cookies to recognise repeated use of the games provided offer by the same user/internet connection owner.

What are cookies, and what are they used for?
Cookies are small files sent to the browser that can be stored on the user's device and used for browsing, tracking the pages visited and preferences while browsing. Cookies allow us to improve the performance of the website and thus optimise the user experience.

Which cookies do we use?
Our website uses different types of cookies, each with a specific function. Technical cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website and the provision of the service requested by the user. In particular, we refer to navigation cookies, which allow the website, from the first access, to display the contents on the device by recognising the language and market of the country from which you have chosen to connect.

Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies typically collect information anonymously on how users navigate the website, to see how visitors move around the website and to record the content viewed. This helps us to see how often certain pages are visited and, thus, which website areas are the most popular.

Cookies from first parties
First-party cookies are created directly by our website.

What are the consequences of rejecting cookies?
The user can choose whether or not to accept the use of cookies. Disabling some or all cookies could result in the impairment of one or more functions necessary for the correct display of information on the website or the use of some features designed to improve navigation.

How do I manage cookies?
Most browsers are configured to accept cookies automatically. The user can modify the browser settings to block or disable the use of some or all cookies or to display a consent notice to the user to install the relevant cookie.

Below, is a list of links describing how to change cookie settings in the main browsers: CHROME, FIREFOX, SAFARI, Microsoft Edge, OPERA

3.7 Google Tag Manager
Our website uses Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager can be used to manage tracking tools and website tags. This service does not use cookies, and no personal data is collected. We use Google Analytics and Remarketing via Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data. Google Tag Manager makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags.
For further information on Google Tag Manager, see: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

3.8 Web analysis – Google Analytics
We also use some services and technologies from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
To design, analyse and improve our websites in accordance with your needs, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”).
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files stored on your computer that enable analysis of your website use. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on our website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and only shortened there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the websites and admiral.ch applications for us, compile reports on activities, and provide us with other services related to the use of the websites and admiral.ch applications and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
For more information on terms of use and privacy policy, please visit https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/ or https://policies.google.com/?hl=en&gl=en.

3.9 Google Ads Conversion
Our websites use Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached one of our websites via an ad placed by Google, Google Ads will place a cookie on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our websites and the cookie has yet to expire, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot, therefore, be tracked across the website of Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing, as well as further information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be obtained from Google - Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: 353 (1) 436 1001.

3.10 Google Remarketing
In addition to Google Ads Conversion, we use the Google Remarketing application. This is a process with which we would like to contact you again. This application allows our advertisements to be displayed to you after you have visited our website when you continue to use the internet. This is done using cookies stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and evaluate your usage behaviour when you visit various websites. This enables Google to determine your previous visit to our website. According to Google, the data collected as part of remarketing does not combine with your personal data that Google may store. In particular, Google uses pseudonymisation for remarketing.
If you do not wish to participate in remarketing, you can reject the cookie setting required for this purpose.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing, as well as further information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be obtained from:
Google – Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: 353 (1) 436 1001. Privacy Statement: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

3.11 Google Optimize
We use the Google Optimize service for so-called A/B and multivariate testing to improve the usability and design of our websites. New functions and content are displayed to some of our users, and the changes in usage are statistically evaluated. Google Optimize uses cookies.

3.12 Meta Custom Audience (Meta Pixel)
Our websites use the visitor behaviour pixel from Meta, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland for conversion measurement (“Meta”).
This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's corresponding website by clicking on a meta ad. This allows the effectiveness of the meta ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and for optimising future advertising measures.
The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of these websites, and we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible, and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Meta data usage policy. This allows Meta to enable advertisements on Meta's pages and outside of Meta. As the website operator, we cannot influence th use of this data.
You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Meta's privacy policy: https://about.facebook.com/actions/protecting-privacy-and-security/.
You can also deactivate the “Custom Audiences” remarketing feature in the Ad Settings section under
https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged in to Facebook to do so.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of Facebook's usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

3.13 Social media and links to websites and third-party services
Our website may contain links to our official social media profiles, including, among others, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, and to third-party websites. Conversely, LinkedIn may contain links to our website in addition to the social media mentioned above. By clicking on these respective links or interacting with social media plugins, your data may be transferred to these platforms and be subject to their data processing. Users are reminded that the collection and use of information by these third-party services are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of use. CAM is not responsible for processing personal data by these platforms and has no control over the information collected or its processing by these platforms. The user is invited to check the privacy settings and manage their preferences directly in the respective social media and their browsers concerning the respective social media to manage and personally decide the settings and, thus, the level of protection of their data.

4. Purpose of processing
The user’s personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

4.1 Registration and opening a player account;
4.2 Identity and address checking;
4.3 Administration of the games offered and player data;
4.4 Personalisation of offers;
4.5 Customer services;
4.6 Preventing fraud or misuse of the gaming platform;
4.7 Player protection and blocking;
4.8 Marketing and communication;
4.9 Statutory and regulatory obligations.

5. Legal basis for processing user data
Any processing is justified by one of the following legal assumptions:
  • Processing is necessary to perform the contract between the parties. In this case, the provision of personal data is optional, but its absence makes it impossible to conclude the contract and provide the requested service;
  • Processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation. In this case, the provision of data is mandatory, and its failure makes it impossible to conclude the contract and perform the requested service;
  • Processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of the data controller unless the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the user that require personal data protection prevail. In this case, the provision of data is voluntary.
  • Processing is only possible if the user has consented to certain specific purposes. In this case, the provision of data is voluntary, and the user can withdraw the previously given consent at any time.

6. Forwarding of data to third parties
As part of CAM’s activities and for the purposes mentioned above, the user’s personal data may be transferred to:
  • Duly appointed data processors who carry out specific processing or ancillary services on behalf of the data controller and under its instructions;
  • Public administration, judicial authorities, supervisory authorities and those to whom communication is legally required to fulfil the purposes indicated above. These process the data in their capacity as independent data controllers.
  • Individuals authorised by the data controller to process personal data and who have assumed a corresponding legal obligation of confidentiality.
In particular, CAM is legally obliged to make the identity of persons affected by a gaming ban available to other casinos in Switzerland and Liechenstein. In addition, the date of issue, the type of ban, and the name of the casino that imposed the ban are passed on. This obligation to provide information is fulfilled by storing the information in a central database to which all Swiss casinos and the Casinos in Liechtenstein have access.
CAM works with addiction prevention agencies to implement player protection. Personal data is exchanged on a case-by-case basis.
As part of fulfilling its legal mandate, the Swiss Federal Gaming Board and authorities may request access to the data. CAM maintains a data recording system for the money games offered on the gaming platform in Switzerland, which records player data and makes it available to the supervisory authority.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties or otherwise share it.

7. Where is the data stored?
All personal data is stored electronically on servers in Switzerland or in EU/EEA countries. The data controller ensures that the data transfer is carried out in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. Personal data is only transferred abroad if there is an adequate level of data protection in the recipient country.

8. How long is the data stored?
In compliance with the principles of legality, appropriation and data minimisation under Art. 6 of the DSG and Art. 5 of the GDPR, the retention period of the user's personal data is set for the period necessary to provide the requested services and in accordance with the applicable regulations.
As a rule, the statutory minimum retention period is ten years from receipt of a document or information. Shorter periods or maximum retention periods also apply.
Data that no longer needs to be stored or may no longer be retained will be deleted or anonymised.

9. Rights of the website users
Players can request information at any time as to whether or not their personal data is being processed and have the following rights:
  • To request information about whether and which data is processed.
  • To request access to the data to obtain information about the purposes of the processing, the recipients to whom the data may be communicated, the duration of the processing (where possible) and any consequences of processing based on profiling;
  • To withdraw consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal;
  • To request the rectification of personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • To request the erasure of the data if it is no longer necessary for the intended purposes of the processing by the data controller, if it is insufficient in relation to the purposes of the processing, if the user has withdrawn his or her consent or if the data has been processed unlawfully;
  • To request the restriction of data processing in the cases provided for by law;
  • To request the transmission of data to another controller in a common, machine-readable format without hindering the current controller from doing so;
  • You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. In particular, you have the right to object to decisions concerning you if they are based exclusively on the automated processing of your data, including profiling. Such withdrawal of consent may lead to the termination of the services provided on our website.
  • To lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, www.edoeb.admin.ch, if you believe that the processing concerning you violates applicable data protection laws.

10. Amendments
CAM reserves the right to modify or simply update the content of this Privacy and Cookies Policy at any time, also due to changes in current legislation. Such changes will become binding as soon as they are published on the website. If the user continues to access or use the service after publication, it will be understood that he has expressly accepted these amendments.
